1. Iron deficiency anemia diagnosed as serum ferritin <15 µg/l
2. Patients of IDA with moderate anemia (8-10.9 g/dl) and severe anemia (6-8 g/dl)
1.Patients or parents of patients 15-18 years not willing to give informed consent
2.Patients with Hb < 6g/dL
3.Patients of severe anemia in cardiac failure
4.Patients having mild IDA (Hb>=11g/dl)
5.Pregnant females with IDA.
6.Patient with ongoing iron malabsorption or bleed
7.Patient with IDA having mixed etiology for anemia (megaloblastic/ anemia of chronic disease)
