•1) Korean aged 50-69 years old
•2) body weight 50kg or more with body mass index (kg/m2) 18.5-28
•3) no congenital or systemic illnesses requiring medical care
•4) no significant abnormal results on screening tests which included routine blood test and blood chemistry, urine test, ECG and physical examinations
•5) subjects who provided written informed consent

•1)Subjects with impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance, or diabetes or subjects on medical therapy for diabetes
•2)Subjects who have hypersensitivity to insulin or preservatives of insulin
•3)Subjects with specific diseases in hepatobiliary, renal, or cardiovascular systems, with endocrine disease, or with other systemic illnesses
•4)active liver diseases or liver transaminase enzyme levels elevated more than twofold the upper limit of normal
•5) patients with known hypertension or subjects with blood pressure levels of > 160/90 mmHg or < 90/60 mmHg.
•6) systemic diseases or injury within 12 weeks
•7) other study medication or intervention therapy within 3 months before oral glucose tolerance test
•8) Positive result on tests for HBs antigen, HCV antibody, or HIV antibody
•9) any other issue suggesting that study participation seems to be inappropriate
