Inclusion Criteria
Age between 20 to 60 years of either gender
Patients who give informed consent and are willing to be a part of the study
Patients undergoing elective craniotomies, oral and maxillary surgeries, thyroid surgeries.
Patients who are ASA-1 or II fit.
Exclusion Criteria
Age less than 20 years or more than 60 years
Patients with history of sore throat, or URTI.
Patients with tracheal or laryngeal pathology or history of tracheostomy.
Patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Patients allergic to local anaesthetics.
Patients on beta-blocker therapy
