Inclusion Criteria
All patients aged 18 to 70 years of either gender of ASA physical statue I or
II undergoing hip fracture surgery who are willing to participate in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patient refusal
2.Hypersensitivity to amide local anaesthetics
3.Infection at the injection site
4.Pregnant woman
5.Obesity (BMI is 30 or higher)
6.Uncooperative patients
7.Anatomical abnormality (Pathological fracture ,previous surgery at same site)
8.Bleeding disorders (INR more than 1.5)
9.Peripheral neuropathy
10.Cognitive impairment (Abbreviated
Mental Test Score less than 6 points)
11.Concurrent chronic analgesic therapy
(NSAIDS,Tramadol),
12.Known hepatic or renal insufficiency
