Inclusion Criteria

1. Patients with ASA grade I and II

2. Both sexes

3. Age group between 18-60 years

4. Elective orthopaedic upper limb Surgical procedures

5. Surgeries of expected duration of 45mins to 120 minutes

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patients who refused to give consent to the study

2. A documented sensitivity to the drug in past

3. Patients with bleeding diathesis and coagulopathy

4. Age < 18 years and > 60 years

5. ASA grading III and IV

6. Patient on anti-hypertensive, anxiolytics and anti-epileptic

7. Pregnancy

8. Morbidly obese

9. Patients for emergency procedures

10. Patients with Neurological and Psychiatric Illness

11. Patients with underlying cardiac, hepatic and renal disease

12. Local site infections

Quality of analgesia in both groups <br/ ><br>5. Duration of post operative analgesia <br/ ><br>6. Side effects and complications if any to use of tramadol and dexamethasoneTimepoint: 1.Onset and duration of sensory as well as motor analgesia at induction and every 5 mins after that till 30 mins and every 15 after that. <br/ ><br>2.PI for both groups during induction and 10 mins after induction(PI of 3.3 or more at10min signifies block success) <br/ ><br>3.Duration of postoperative analgesia.(will be assessed every 15 mins till the patient complaints of pain in post operative period)
