Inclusion Criteria
Adults with obesity who are awaiting sleeve gastrectomy
Exclusion Criteria
Treatment for diabetes other than metformin
Contraindication for bariatric surgery or very-low-energy diet
Current use of appetite-reducing pharmacotherapy
Previous bariatric surgery
