Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) those who were first diagnosed with stroke; 2\) patients who had passed the acute stage of stroke, had the onset of stroke less than six months ago, and required intensive rehabilitation; 3\) patients with level 1 to 3 in the functional ambulation category (FAC) for evaluation of ambulation; and 4\) patients with a score of 20 or higher on the Korean Version of Mini\-Mental State Examination (K\-MMSE) on medical records.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) those with FAC level 0 (unable to walk at all or require assistance from two therapists) and level 4 to 5 (capable of independent ambulation); 2\) those with orthopedic problems that may interfere with walking; 3\) those with underlying neurological disorders such as dementia; and 4\) those who were unable to walk due to non\-healing ulcers in the lower extremities.
