Inclusion Criteria
• Patients of ASA grade - I ,II
• Age group 18-60 years of either sex.
• All patients scheduled for elective unilateral inguinal
hernioplasty under the subarachnoid block (SAB).
Exclusion Criteria
Patient refusal or not giving consent.
1 Pregnancy
2 Patient with coagulopathies
3 Seizure disorder
4 ASA grade III and above
5 Coagulopathy
6 Bradycardia and heart block
7 Patient with cardiac diseases
8 Patient on anticoagulants
9 Patient consuming adrenoreceptors agonist or antagonist
10 History of drug allergy to Bupivacaine or dexmedetomidine.
11 Patients with history of cardiac, respiratory, renal or hepatic
failure.
12 Psychological disorders.
