Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •patients over the age of 19 who were admitted to Asan Medical Center in Seoul within 7 days of symptom onset.
- •Patients diagnosed with acute encephalitis and meningitis with 5 or more WBCs confirmed by cerebrospinal fluid test.
- •Even if the cerebrospinal fluid test criteria are not met, patients with suspected autoimmune meningitis/encephalitis are also included, but data should be separately analyzed to determine if there is a significant difference.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients with hearing impairment, taking sedative medications, systemic neoplasm, with neurological disorders potentially affecting the CNS
