This research will look to determine the relationship that exists among the physical attributes of power, agility, and dynamic balance, with regard to inline skating performance, amongst recreational inline skaters, as well as competitive inline skaters, all aged 8-15. This particular age group is a crucial period of development, concerning growth, neuromuscular development, and technical skill acquisition, encompassing technical skill acquisition to expert development. It is a period whereby the growth, development, and progressions of the afore-mentioned physical attributes increase exponentially, thoroughly playing a role in influencing the performance. Children and adolescents participating in inline skating need effective power, agility, as well as high ground control, all of which occur during this period of development. Using this particular age group, determining the relationship among the afore-mentioned attributes, concerning inline skating performance, will provide a crucial role for physiotherapy practitioners, as well as training coaches, to provide apt training/rehabilitation programs, concerning optimizing performance, while preventing injuries amongst this particular demographic formative period. Although the particular attributes have been adequately tested within a different sport, on both land and ice, the particular impact among inline skating performance has remained inadequate. This research will look to address this problem by analyzing the relationship among the afore-mentioned physical attributes with skating performance amongst inline skaters.

入选标准

  • Level of skill will be defined as recreational and competitive inline skaters.
  • Recreational Inline skaters will be defined as those who have no competition experience.
  • Competitive Inline skaters will be defined as those who have more than 2 year of competition experience.
  • Participants who are trained for at least 1 hour a day for 2 to 3 days per week.

排除标准

  • Participants who have existing musculoskeletal, neurologic and other medical conditions that restrict their participation.
  • History of any spine or lower limb injuries/surgeries in the last 6 months.
  • Any diagnosed congenital orthopedic deformity.
  • Diagnosed vestibular or balance disorder.
  • Participants who practice/train for other sports.
