Inclusion Criteria
Children between 1 year to 10 years of age admitted with respiratory tract infections in Kasturba Hospital,Manipal.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Children who have received zinc supplementation in the preceding 3 months.
2.Other major RTI with
a)Primary immunodeficiences.
b)CHD with left to right shunts
c)Foreign body aspiration
d)Cystic fibrosis
e)Congenital anomalies of airway
f)GERD
g)Preexisting other systemic illness
