Written informed consent from the child’s parents/guardian’s
- Age 6-10 years (beginning at the day of the 6th birthday and ending at the day of the 10th birthday)
- Gestational age 36 weeks or above
- A diagnosis of allergic asthma within the last 2 years or bronchial hyperreactivity
- The child is able to perform a body plethysmography
- The legal custodian has the verbal, writing and mental ability to understand the intent and character of the study
Control group:
- Age 6-10 years
- No history of allergic asthma and bronchial hyperreactivity
- Severe/brittle asthma
- Other chronic respiratory diseases (CF, BPD, immunodeficiencies) except allergic rhinitis
- Other chronic diseases or chronic medication use except atopic exzema
