Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Written informed consent from the child’s parents/guardian’s
- •\- Age 6\-10 years (beginning at the day of the 6th birthday and ending at the day of the 10th birthday)
- •\- Gestational age 36 weeks or above
- •\- A diagnosis of allergic asthma within the last 2 years or bronchial hyperreactivity
- •\- The child is able to perform a body plethysmography
- •\- The legal custodian has the verbal, writing and mental ability to understand the intent and character of the study
- •Control group:
- •\- Age 6\-10 years
- •\- No history of allergic asthma and bronchial hyperreactivity
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Severe/brittle asthma
- •\- Other chronic respiratory diseases (CF, BPD, immunodeficiencies) except allergic rhinitis
- •\- Other chronic diseases or chronic medication use except atopic exzema
