Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •We will include;1\. Cases from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
- •\- Admitted to an ER as a result of alcohol intoxication
- •\- Age 14\-17 years at the time of ER admission
- •\- Caucasian ethnicity (i.e., European decent), defined as having at least three Caucasian grandparents);2\. Controls from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
- •\- Age between 14\-17 years
- •\- Caucasian ethnicity (at least three Caucasian grandparents)
- •\- Consumed at least 1 alcoholic beverage in their lifetime
- •\- Alcohol use during lifetime remained below the level considered binge drinking:
- •\* boys never \*5 drinks/occasion.
- •\*girls never \* 4 drinks/occasion.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Main exclusion criteria cases:
- •\- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
- •\- Age outside 14\-17;Main exclusion criteria controls:
- •\- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
- •\- Age outside 14\-17
- •\- Never consumed alcohol
- •\- For boys, \*5 drinks/occasion.
- •\- For girls, \* 4 drinks/occasion.
