Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •We will include;1\. Cases from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
  • •\- Admitted to an ER as a result of alcohol intoxication
  • •\- Age 14\-17 years at the time of ER admission
  • •\- Caucasian ethnicity (i.e., European decent), defined as having at least three Caucasian grandparents);2\. Controls from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
  • •\- Age between 14\-17 years
  • •\- Caucasian ethnicity (at least three Caucasian grandparents)
  • •\- Consumed at least 1 alcoholic beverage in their lifetime
  • •\- Alcohol use during lifetime remained below the level considered binge drinking:
  • •\* boys never \*5 drinks/occasion.
  • •\*girls never \* 4 drinks/occasion.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Main exclusion criteria cases:
  • •\- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
  • •\- Age outside 14\-17;Main exclusion criteria controls:
  • •\- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
  • •\- Age outside 14\-17
  • •\- Never consumed alcohol
  • •\- For boys, \*5 drinks/occasion.
  • •\- For girls, \* 4 drinks/occasion.
