Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • We will include;1\. Cases from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
  • \- Admitted to an ER as a result of alcohol intoxication
  • \- Age 14\-17 years at the time of ER admission
  • \- Caucasian ethnicity (i.e., European decent), defined as having at least three Caucasian grandparents);2\. Controls from who we have received theirs and their parents informed consent. In addition, they must meet all the below stated inclusion criteria:
  • \- Age between 14\-17 years
  • \- Caucasian ethnicity (at least three Caucasian grandparents)
  • \- Consumed at least 1 alcoholic beverage in their lifetime
  • \- Alcohol use during lifetime remained below the level considered binge drinking:
  • \* boys never \*5 drinks/occasion.
  • \*girls never \* 4 drinks/occasion.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Main exclusion criteria cases:
  • \- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
  • \- Age outside 14\-17;Main exclusion criteria controls:
  • \- Non\-Caucasian ethnicity
  • \- Age outside 14\-17
  • \- Never consumed alcohol
  • \- For boys, \*5 drinks/occasion.
  • \- For girls, \* 4 drinks/occasion.
