Inclusion Criteria
1. Age between 18 to 45 years
2. Mothers with any mode of delivery.
3. Postnatal mothers admitted in the postnatal wards of KH Manipal irrespective of place of delivery (KH/outside)
Exclusion Criteria
1. Mothers who are diagnosed to have HIV/HBs Ag infection
2. Mothers with more than 45 years
3. Post natal mothers with immunosuppression therapy (e.g Chemotherapy, radiation, treatment for SLE, organ transplantation, etc)

Name Time Method Infection rate and factors influencing infection during immediate postnatal period is assessed. Based on this findings, appropriate infection control measures can be implemented in OBG wards.This would help to bring down the maternal morbidity.Timepoint: 1.
