age 35 years old and no periodontal therapy 3months prior the study. also no antibiotics given.
clinical and diagnostic criteria of moderate chronic periodontitis (5). Other criteria were also adopted including age range from 35-45years; probing depth 3-4mm in at least three teeth, attachment loss of ≥ 3 mm and a minimum of 20 teeth. Patients who received periodontal treatments or were given antibiotic drugs within the last 3 months prior to the study were excluded. Other exclusion criteria were involved including previous systemic diseases, pregnancy, breast-feeding and smoking habits.
