  • Unilateral surgical femoral nerve block procedures under general anesthesia
  • -American Society of Anesthesiologist classification I-III patients
  • -Age>18years

排除标准

  • -American society of anesthesiologist classification IV or V patients
  • -Age<18years - pregnancy -coagulopathy -unstable coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrythmia, cardiomyopathy -Known cerebrovascular disease -generalized infection, infection at skin femoral nerve block -chronic pain disorder -severe pulmonary neurologic deficits, neuropathy affecting limb -refusal -local anesthetics allery psychiatric>

The optimal dose of dexmedetomidine for reduce the postoperative catheter related bladder discomfort in post-anesthesia care unitCatheter-related bladder discomfort (CRBD) is defined as an urgent urination or a burning sensation in the suprapubic area. A study showed that 55% of the patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) experienced moderate or severe CRBD symptoms. CRBD leads to restlessness and agitation and it also enhances the risk of falling out of bed.Moreover, it may increase the workload of nursing staff in the PACU.
