Inclusion Criteria
Patients of either sex, having unilateral rib fractures (more than 2) admitted to Intensive care unit will be enrolled in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients having bilateral rib fractures
Associated injuries of pelvis/abdomen/head
patients having altered consciousness
Requiring mechanical ventilation
BMI > 30 kg/m2
History of drug abuse/chronic alcoholism
altered bleeding or coagulation profile
allergy to local anaesthetic
presence of infection/wound at the injection site
