Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of either sex, having unilateral rib fractures (more than 2\) admitted to Intensive care unit will be enrolled in the study.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients having bilateral rib fractures
- •Associated injuries of pelvis/abdomen/head
- •patients having altered consciousness
- •Requiring mechanical ventilation
- •BMI \> 30 kg/m2
- •History of drug abuse/chronic alcoholism
- •altered bleeding or coagulation profile
- •allergy to local anaesthetic
- •presence of infection/wound at the injection site
