Age more than 65 years
Patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia
ASA classification I & II
Hemodynamically unstable patients and those with cardiovascular or respiratory comorbidity
Major peripheral vascular disease
Increased intra-abdominal pressure
Autonomic nervous system disorders
Anticipated difficult airway
BMI more than 30 Kg/m2
Documented negative fluid balance > 1000 ml on preceding day
Pheochromocytoma
Agitation (RASS > 1)
Absolute or relative contraindications to general anesthesia
Patients who have currently taken angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor or angiotensin receptor blocker
patients with a baseline systolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg or mean arterial blood pressure less than 70 mmHg
Patient with a history of any previous abdominal surgery or trauma
Patient with any cardiac rhythm other than normal sinus rhythm, and have/had cardiomyopathy
