Inclusion Criteria

1. Age not less than 18 year-old
2. The mononuclear cell predominated exudative pleural effusion
3. The subjects display voluntary for thoracocentesis, pleural biopsy and finally receiving the diagnostic result of TB pleuritis (case group) or malignant pleural effusion (control group)
4. The subjects sign consent form before the data collection

Exclusion Criteria

1. The subjects have any contraindication to the invasive procedure, such as bleeding disorder.
2. The polymorphonuclear cell predominated exudative pleural effusion
3. The unknown of the final diagnostic result of pleural effusion
