Inclusion Criteria

a. The subject should be above 18 years of age.

b. The subjects should be primiparous or in case of a multiparous pregnancy, the previous delivery should have been atleast 2 years back with no medical history of previous abortions or miscarriages in between.

Exclusion Criteria

a. The subject should not have been on any periconceptional supplementation of folic acid or vitamin B12.

b. The subject should be a non-smoker and non-alcoholic.

c. Subject more than 10 weeks of pregnancy will be excluded.
