Preeclamptic patients with period of gestation >20 weeks will be assessed for eligibility for
enrollment to the study if they show any one of the following features.11
•BP is >=160 mmHg systolic and/or >=110 mmHg diastolic (on 2 occasions at least 4 hours
apart, while the patient is on bed rest) after 20 weeks gestation
Â¥New onset BP is >=140mmHg systolic and/or >=90mmHg diastolic (on 2 occasions at least 4 hours apart, while the patient is on bed rest) with any of the following is present:

Â¥Thrombocytopenia, platelets count <100,000/uL
Â¥Serum creatinine >=1.1 mg/L or a doubling of the serum creatinine concentration in the absence of other renal disease
Â¥Impaired liver function, elevated blood concentrations of liver transaminases to twice normal concentration
Â¥Cerebral or visual disturbances

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To assess the ability of bedside lung ultrasound to detect interstitial alveolar syndrome in preeclamptic women with severe features admitted for delivery.Timepoint: at admission, before delivery and within 24 hours after delivery
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The secondary objectives will include association ,if any, with

1. Clinical features of acute breathlessness, tachypnea, respiratory compromise

2. Rapidity of rise in blood pressure over preceding week

3. Change in biochemical parameters

4. Any other secondary features having multisystem involvement

5. To correlate echocardiography finding with lung sonography B-lines (To rule out cardiac diseases)

Timepoint: during admission period
