Yoga is a widely practiced mind–body intervention known to improve psychological health and overall well-being. Increasing levels of stress, anxiety, and depression in the general population highlight the need for simple, cost-effective, and culturally acceptable interventions.

This study aims to assess the effect of a short-term structured yoga program on psychological distress and well-being among adult participants in a healthcare-focused environment.

A pre–post interventional study was conducted among 50 adults aged 18 years and above. Participants underwent a 14-day structured yoga intervention consisting of physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation techniques. Psychological parameters were assessed before and after the intervention using validated tools, including the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) and WHO-5 Well-being Index.

The primary outcomes included changes in stress, anxiety, and depression scores, while secondary outcomes included changes in overall well-being and participant feedback.

The findings of this study are expected to provide evidence regarding the effectiveness of short-term yoga interventions as a feasible, low-cost strategy for mental health promotion in healthcare and community settings.
