Neonates (0 to 28 days) admitted with hypernatremia (serum sodium level >150mEq/l) will be included.
Neonate with:
1. Congenital malformations.
2. Suspected metabolic disease
3. known case of structural renal disease/previously diagnosed kidney disease
4. History of delayed cry/hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy
5. Sepsis screen or blood culture positive
6. Coagulopathy
7. Previous admission
8. History of abortion or unexplained sibling death in maternal history
9. History of stroke, DVT, early age MI or thromboembolic phenomena in family
