Patients aged between 18 years old and 65 years old
Good general health condition
Acceptable oral hygiene with full-mouth plaque level (FMPL) less than 30%
Presence of a hopeless tooth in mandibular or maxillary molar region with less than 50% bone loss in all dimensions and requiring replacement by a dental implant.
Ability to fully understand the nature of the proposed surgery and ability to sign an Ethics Committee-approved informed consent form
History of radiotherapy or chemotherapy for malignancy in the past 5 years
History of autoimmune diseases
Known allergy to bone substitute and collagen
History of systemic diseases that would contraindicate surgical treatment
Long-term non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug therapy
Medical conditions requiring antibiotic prophylaxis
Heavy smoking (> 10 cigarettes per day)
Uncontrolled or untreated periodontal disease
Pregnancy or lactating period
Inability to consent for participation in the study and/or to accept the proposed treatment plan
