Recruitment & Eligibility
- Status

- Sex
- All
- Target Recruitment
- 120
Inclusion criteria for IPS patients
- idiopathic parkinsonian syndrome (according to British brain bank criteria: L-dopa sensitivity of at least 50%)
- Hoehn and Yahr Stage = 2.5.
- Fluctuations and/or dyskinesias for no longer than 3 years.
- written declaration of consent.
- Age (40-70 years)
Inclusion criteria for healthy subjects
- Only healthy people without significant previous illnesses are examined (e.g. neurological, psychiatric or orthopedic illnesses that suggest an influence on movement behavior, gait security and balance. These include e.g. hemiplegia, polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis).
- Age (40-70 years)
- Fall history: > 1 fall in the last 12 months, only allow 1 fall in the last 12 months if other tests have not shown any abnormalities (NFOGQ = 0; UPDRSIII Item 3.10 = 0; UPDRSIII Item 3.11 = 0; TUG <20)
- Presence of pregnancy
- Minors or vulnerable persons
- Subject is dependent on walking aids
- Subject suffers from an acute illness, for example fever, injuries that have not yet healed, dizziness, nausea or balance problems
- Operation on the spine in the measurement area (VP-L4) or the pelvis
- Patients who have chronic diseases, other than arthrosis, which may affect movement behavior, gait security and balance (e.g. hemiplegia, polyneuropathy, multiple sclerosis)
- TUG: = 23 seconds, use of tools
- UPDRSIII item 3.10 (WALK/GAIT): >=2
- UPDRSIII-Item 3.11 (Freezing): >=2
- UPDRSIII item 3.13 (posture): >=2
- NFOGQ item 5. If item 5 is rated 2, an additional item 6 is considered. The patient is excluded if item 6 is scored >= 2
- Occurrence of dyskinesia
- 6MWT: < 90 meters in the first 2 minutes (corresponds to about 2.5 km/h) one or more breaks, use of aids
- other psychiatric or neurological diagnosis, brain organic or severe systemic disease that may affect the central nervous system
- BMI>30
- Large scars or tattoos on the back

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - Height of the amplitude and time of occurrence of the pelvis and the vertebral body position maxima during a standardized gait cycle (SGC) in the rotational movement (vertebral spine movement in the transverse plane in 17 movement segments)
- Progression diagram of the individual vertebral bodies in the SGC
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - Amplitude, frequency and asymmetry of arm accelerometers
- Amplitude, frequency and asymmetry of electrical muscle activity (EMG)
- UPDRSIII total score
- UPDRSIII bradykinesia, rigidity, gait subscores
- Timed-up-and-Go (TUG) test score
- Distance of the 6 Minute Walking Test (6MWT)
- Overall score of the New Freezing of Gait Questionnaire
