Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. aged greater than or equal to 18 years old
  • 2\. had a single radio\-opaque renal calculi or proximal ureteric calculi less than 2 cm in size

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. pregnancy
  • 2\. coagulopathy
  • 3\. untreated urinary tract infection
  • 4\. aortic aneurysm
  • 5\. severe untreated hypertension
  • 6\. morbid obesity (body mass index over 40 kg/m2\)
  • 7\. kidney anomalies
  • 8\. ureteral stenting
  • 9\. incontinence.
