Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients diagnosed with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome as per ICD\-11 criteria.
  • •2\. Alcohol withdrawal assessment scoring guidelines (CIWA\-AR) score \<15\. (mild to
  • •moderate withdrawals as per Maudsley guidelines)
  • •3\. Age groups 25 and above.
  • •4\. Male gender.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients who are known cases of epilepsy.
  • •2\. Patient dependent on other substances except nicotine and caffeine
  • •3\. Patients with past history of complicated withdrawals
  • •4\. Patients who are intoxicated or are in severe withdrawals.
  • •5\. Patients with comorbid active psychotic illness.
  • •6\. Actively suicidal patients.
  • •7\. Patients with any acute medical or surgical illness.
