The study includes patients who underwent surgery for double-valve endocarditis at the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at the University Medical Centre Göttingen between 2002 and 2023. The patients were either already referred from an external hospital with a diagnosis of double-valve endocarditis or diagnosed in our institution.
The data are collected retrospectively from the patients' medical records. An estimated 80 patients will be included.
All cases in which the suspicion of double-valve endocarditis was not confirmed intraoperatively will be excluded.
