Inclusion Criteria

1. Patients aged 18 years or above undergoing cystoscopy(CPE) for following conditions- Check cystoscopy in Ca bladder patients in follow up, CPE for LUTS under evaluation and CPE for hematuria under evaluation

2. Written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patients not giving consent.

2. Neurological disease that may affect bladder function/sensation (mainly MS).

3. Serious concomitant illness.

4. Patients with known drug allergy to local anesthetic drugs.

5. Patients with severe cardiovascular compromise.

To compare pain scores (100 mm Visual Analogue Scale score) amongst patients undergoing cystoscopy under Intravesical alkalinised lidocaine solution plus Lidocaine gel vs Lidocaine gel alone.Timepoint: 0 hour AND 1 hour

b)To compare the incidence of UTI- The participant will be contacted 1 week after and asked about symptoms of UTI: Dysuria, cloudy urine, pollakiuria, nocturia.Timepoint: 1 week;To compare patient tolerance as assessed by surgeon on 100 mm Visual Analogue Scale score.Timepoint: 0 hour;To compare postoperative complications: voiding difficulty and hematuria.Timepoint: 0 hour, 1 hour and 1 week;To compare the participant experience with the procedureTimepoint: 1 week
