1. Children giving assent and also parentsâ?? consent to participate in the study
2. Students ready to comply with the appointment schedule
3. Students with at least one cavitated active carious lesion
1. Children who do not consent to participate
2. Children with significant untreated oral diseases like acute gingivitis, extensive tooth decay, acute oral infections, ulcerative gingivitis or stomatitis, etc.
3. Children unable to produce adequate amount of saliva for sampling.
4. Children having low risk for dental caries (no history of restorations or presence of carious lesions)
5. Children undergoing orthodontic treatment.
6. Children hypersensitive to oral care products.
7. Children who are medically compromised and handicapped.
