- The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center became the first U.S. site to treat a patient with Alveltamig (ZG006), a novel trispecific T-cell engager immunotherapy for small cell lung cancer in late October. - Alveltamig features an enhanced design with three binding arms compared to FDA-approved bispecific tarlatamab, potentially offering stronger cancer cell-immune cell connections for patients whose disease has progressed. - The first patient experienced no side effects from initial dosing and tolerated a second treatment well, with the therapy showing potential activity against brain metastases common in small cell lung cancer. - The Phase 1 trial follows successful tolerability data from China and will enroll patients at six U.S. sites to evaluate this next-generation immunotherapy approach.
