- •Preterm neonates born between 26WEEK and 33 WEEK 6DAY of gestational age (GA) requiring CPAP for respiratory distress within 6 h of life were eligible for inclusion.For the purpose of the study,neonates with spontaneous respiratory efforts but having evidence of respiratory distress in the form Silverman Anderson score of more then 3 required CPAP support.

- •Antenatally diagnosed chromosomal anomaly
- •Gross congenital anomaly
- •Refusal of conscent
