- •Seventy patients of age group 30-85 years with well controlled diabetes mellitus, of either sex, belonging to American society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class 2, scheduled for elective surgery under spinal anaesthesia.

- •A)Patient refusal
- •B)Patients with poorly controlled blood glucose levels
- •C)Impaired renal or liver functions
- •D)Patients with ischemic heart disease
- •E)Patients on steroids or diuretics
- •F)Urological surgeries
- •G)Pregnant females
