This study was performed to compare the effect of molar to molar AdvanSync2 fixed functional appliance in Class II malocclusion subjects at different stages of skeletal maturation. The appliance was given to subjects with Class II skeletal pattern due to retrognathic mandible for a period of 6-9 months. Study participants were categorised according to their skeletal maturation stages into 2 groups – Circumpubertal ( CVMI 2 and 3) and Post pubertal ( CVMI 4, 5 and 6).The skeletal and dental effect of fixed functional appliance in both the groups were compared using cephalometric findings at pre and 9 months post placement of the appliance. The study determined the effectiveness of the appliance and correlated it with the stage of skeletal maturity.

入选标准
- •Inclusion criteria- 1.Skeletal and dental class II malocclusion due to retrognathic mandible 2.Normal- horizontal growth pattern 3.Age criteria 12-20 years and CVMI stage 2-6 4.Absence of any developmental anomaly.
排除标准
- •Exclusion criteria 1.Extracted or Missing teeth 2.Presence of gingival disease 3.Mentally challenged patient’ 4.Patient with any know systemic disease.
