- •American Society of Anesthesiologists classification 1 to 3.
- •Body mass index between 18 and 35.

- •- pre-existing neuropathy or coagulopathy
- •- renal failure or hepatic failure
- •- allergy to local anesthetics
- •- pregnancy
- •- prior surgery in the area of the lumbar spine
- •- chronic pain syndromes requiring opioid intake at home
