- •Age- and sex-matched to the patient collective of the EXTINCT study

- •- Inadequate image quality due to insufficient light transmission of the optical media (cornea, lens, vitreous body) or lack of cooperation
- •- Pre-existing ophthalmological diseases
- •- Diabetes mellitus
- •- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- •- Lack of capacity to consent
- •- Previous apheresis therapy
- •- Additional oxygen requirement or ventilation during COVID infection
