简要总结

Screening young badminton players (14-22 years) for Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction as early identification serves as a starting point for initiating early intervention.

Badminton is a high-intensity sport involving rapid movements, sudden changes in direction, trunk rotation, and high-impact landings.

The sacroiliac joint (SIJ), which connects the trunk to the lower extremities, plays a key role in transferring weight and stabilizing the body during such movements.

Activities like side jumps and unilateral shots, can place unequal stress on the SIJ, causing muscle imbalances. High-impact landings during smashes directly affect the SIJ through ground reaction forces.

Dysfunction in the SIJ can impair muscle activation, decrease mobility, and negatively impact performance, particularly in areas like agility, footwork, and executing smashes.

Additionally, SIJ dysfunction increases the risk of lower limb injuries.

Understanding the frequency of SIJ dysfunction in badminton players can help identify specific injury patterns and improve injury prevention strategies for the sport.
