- •Preterm infants(28-36weeks)
- •.All hemodynamically stable preterm infants (28-36 weeks) admitted in the nursery undergoing heel prick procedure
- •Neonates who are tolerating feeds
排除标准
- •Term babies(37 weeks and above)
- •Critically ill babies
- •Major congenital abnormalities of face
- •Babies kept nil oral
- •Baby on opiod or analgesic treatment
- •Babies less than 24 hours of age whose mothers underwent general anaesthesia during delivery
- •Unwillingness of parent/relative to give consent
