A comparative study of the effects of advanced platelet-rich fibrin and resorbable collagen membrane in the treatment of gingival recession: a split-mouth, randomized, clinical trial.

Phase 3
Completed
Conditions
Clinical measurements of plaque index (PI), clinical attachment level (CAL), keratinized tissue width (KTW), recession depth (RD), recession width (RW), and gingival thickness (GT) were evaluated at baseline and 3 months postoperatively. A numeric rating scale (NRS) was also assessed.
Gingival recession, pinhole technique, A-PRF, resorbable collagen membrane

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Recession width (RW) and gingival thickness (GT). 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, one month, and three months RW measured from horizontal distance of the recession in the mesiodistal direction at CEJ. GT measured from the mid-point location between the gingival margin and MGJ using an endodontic file .
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
clinical attachment level (CAL), keratinized tissue width (KTW), and recession depth (RD) 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, one month, and three months CAL measured from the CEJ to the base of the pocket. KTW measured from the marginal gingiva to the MGJRD measured from the CEJ to the most apical point of the free margin.
