Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1. Patients undergoing elective lower abdominal surgeries
  • 2. Age 18 to 60 years of either sex
  • 3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1. Patients with history of allergy to drug
  • 2. Diabetes Mellitus, thyroid diseases, cardiopulmonary disease, psychological disorder, neurological deficit, liver diseases
  • 3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics
  • 4. Body temperature <36.5 or >38 degree Celsius
  • 5. Local site infection
  • 6. Spinal deformity
  • 7. Bleeding tendencies- platelet count <50000/micro litre, prothrombin time >14sec, INR >1.5
