Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients undergoing elective lower abdominal surgeries
2. Age 18 to 60 years of either sex
3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics
Exclusion Criteria
1. Patients with history of allergy to drug
2. Diabetes Mellitus, thyroid diseases, cardiopulmonary disease, psychological disorder, neurological deficit, liver diseases
3. Treatment with sedative hypnotics
4. Body temperature <36.5 or >38 degree Celsius
5. Local site infection
6. Spinal deformity
7. Bleeding tendencies- platelet count <50000/micro litre, prothrombin time >14sec, INR >1.5
