Diagnosis of Unipolar Depression or Bipolar Disorder (I and II).
-Existing or planned lithium therapy in inpatient and outpatient treatment
-Existing capacity to give consent
-Existence of written informed consent
-Diagnosis of antisocial or other severe personality disorder.
-Schizophrenia
-Severe cognitive impairment e.g. dementia or severe intelligence impairment
-Withdrawal of informed consent
-Existing renal insufficiency stage 3 and above (GFR 30-59), severe cardiac or circulatory disease
-Institutionalization by court or official order (according to AMG § 40 (1) 4).
