- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
Main study parameters are quit success rates in smokers. ERP modulations

representing error-processing, inhibitory control and smoking cue-reactivity

will be used to predict quit success. The study will end when 75 smokers

completed all study procedures.

- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
- number of days before relapse

- difference in the amount of smoking after the quit attempt relative to

baseline measures

- Age, gender and education

- Craving scores before and after task performance

- Baseline nicotine dependence levels

- Use of psychoactive medication to support the quit attempt

- Trait impulsivity measures

- Mood states at moment of testing

- Measures of alcohol use and recreational use of other drugs
