Inclusion Criteria
Children in the age group of 4 to 12 years, presenting with acute focal seizures.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Children receiving long term antiseizure drugs.
2.Patients with clinical evidence of meningitis or sepsis.
3.Acute head injury.
4.Children having febrile seizures.
5.Children with congenital anomalies and developmental delay.
6.Children with known chronic illnesses.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method o return of seizure activity for the next 24 hours.Timepoint: No return of seizure activity for the next 24 hours.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1. Stopping of clinical seizure activity within the first 20 mins of first intervention. <br/ ><br>2. Adverse events to treatment in form of hypotension, respiratory depression or cardiac arrhythmias. <br/ ><br>3. Behavioural issues such as aggression. <br/ ><br>4. In hospital complications. <br/ ><br>5. Neurological outcome at discharge. <br/ ><br>6. Achievement of therapeutic drug levels.Timepoint: 24 hours
