Cricket is a team game played between two teams of 11 players each, where players take on several roles, such as bowler, batter, and fielders. One of the most important techniques of the game is fielding, which entails swiftly and correctly returning the ball to the bowler or to the wicket keeper. Lack of thoracic mobility might associate with the throwing accuracy. Thoracic mobility is a fundamental component of human movement that plays a crucial role in various activities, including sports that require precise throwing motions. Throwing accuracy in cricket is a critical skill, which involves bowlers targeting the stumps, fielders hitting the wickets, or outfielders preventing runs with accurate throws. This skill requires two more important components, core stability and shoulder stability.Hence, the study will be conducted with the title “Association between Throwing Accuracy, Thoracic Mobility, Core Stability and Upper Extremity Stability in Cricket Players of Delhiâ€. An observational study will be carried out over a span of 1-2 months in which participants will be chosen by purposive sampling method. A total of 159 cricket players matching the inclusion criteria will be recruited in the study after taking their consent. The athletes recruited in the study will perform warm up for 10-15 minutes which will include throwing warm up drills, stretching exercises. After the warm up, athletes will be asked to perform the Seated Rotation for Thoracic mobility Test, Functional Throw Performance Index for Throwing accuracy, Sahrmann Core Stability Test for Core stability and Closed Kinetic Chain Upper Extremity Stability Test (CKCUEST) for Shoulder stability. After the completion of tests all athletes will do cool down for 10-15 minutes. Data will be collected and analyzed using Descriptive statistics will be done in terms of mean±SD for continuous variable and in terms of numbers and percentage for categorical variables. Shapiro-Wilk test will be used to test the normality of the outcome measures. Pearson/spearmen’s correlation coefficient will be used for checking the relationship between throwing accuracy, thoracic mobility, core stability and Upper Extremity stability. Logistic Regression will be used to predict the throwing accuracy from thoracic mobility, core stability and Upper extremity stability.

- •Both male and female cricket players of Under-21 will be recruited.
- •Participants who are regularly playing cricket for at least 2 years.
排除标准
- •Participants with a history of any musculoskeletal injury as these may affect their current mobility and stability levels in last 6 months.
- •Participants with any major or minor surgery of shoulder, abdomen and spine in last 6 months.
