the patients who were suffering from degenerative cervical radiculopathy at the C5-T1 level on magnetic resonance image (MRI) for upper extremity pain with or without neck pain which did not respond to oral medication and physical therapy at least for 4 weeks
The patients with previous cervical spine surgery or red flags (infection, malignancy, spinal fracture and cauda equina syndrome, etc.) or yellow flags (inappropriate attitudes and beliefs about pain, inappropriate pain behavior, emotional problems and claim, etc.) were excluded. Exclusion criteria for this study also included nonavailability of MRI images pre-procedure, hypersensitivity to contrast agent, coagulopathy, pregnancy and breast feeding patients. Patients who cannot express pain and dysfunction as NRS and NDI, and those who do not want to participate in the study and have not written a informed consent, were excluded.
