Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Age \>18 years
  • •ASA I to III.
  • •Elective/Emergency major abdominal surgeries of \> 2 hours duration.
  • •Emergency abdominal surgeries which is not intubated prior to surgery.
  • •Standardized analgesia with epidural.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •BMI \>35 kg/m2(Morbid Obesity).
  • •Obstructive lung disease.
  • •Underlying lung disease.
  • •{Pneumotharx
  • •Pulmonary tuberculosis
  • •Pleural effusion.}.
  • •Restrictive lung disease.
