Inclusion Criteria
- •patients aged between 50 and 90 years old; FE < or equal to 40% documented by ecocardio; uricemia > or equal to 8 mg/die; cardiac insufficiency from about 6 months; steady basal therapy for at least 2 months; NYHA II-III class

Exclusion Criteria
- •diseases that may interfere with the study; enrollment in other clinical study;climateric women in hormonal therapy; instable angina or malignant heart block;untreated ipokaliemia; intollerance to allopurinolo; intake of drugs that may induce iperuricemia; patients unable to take part to the study and to underwent the tests
