简要总结
Combat sports are known for their extensive use of novel training methods and meticulous examination of their impact on participants’ physical capabilities. It is possible to raise the standard of training through the use of experimental training programs which can have an impact on athletes’ competitive performance.
For this Experimental study, Male wrestlers will be recruited from Sports Authority of India, Dharwad. Subjects who fulfil the criteria will be provided with the requisite details about the study procedure. Those meeting the inclusion criteria will be included in the study once a written consent form is obtained from them in the language best understood. In case of subjects aged under 18 years, assent will be taken along with consent from their parents. Study procedure will be explained to the participants. Randomization will be done using SNOSE method and participants will be assigned to experimental and control group accordingly. The first examination will take place before starting either of the trainings in both the groups. Basic Demographic details will be noted. Next, the experimental group i.e Group A will be given High Intensity Interval training combined with core strengthening, whereas Group B will be given High Intensity Interval training only. Both the interventions will be given thrice a week for a total duration of 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, another examination will be conducted. The recording of test procedure will last for 3 days.
A strong core in wrestlers would enhance balance, power generation, injury prevention, agility, and quickness. It would further help to maintain control during takedowns, generate explosive power in moves, reduces the risk of injuries, prevent spinal injuries and enable quick reactions to opponents’ movements. High Intensity Interval Training along with improving the physical performance would add up in building mental resilience and discipline, preparing wrestlers to push through fatigue and adversity during intense matches. Combining core strengthening exercises with High Intensity Interval Training modalities would create a well-rounded fitness foundation which will in turn enhance their performance on mat.
