Inclusion Criteria

clinical and radiological diagnosis of pneumonia; aged more than 18 years; consent to the entry into the study; able to eat oral vitamin D and placebo. The exclusion criteria: malnutrition; systemic disease; diarrhea; intolerance or sensitivity to vitamin D; recent use of antibiotics.
